Unfortunately the 2020 season, like so many other activities across the entire world, has been impacted by the Corona Virus. No matches can be played, and training has been suspended.
While the Giants are disappointed, they are hopeful that 2021 will again see them out and about playing their much loved footy and sharing great times with their own team mates and other players in the association.
Also disappointed are the coaches and supporters, who have vey much enjoyed seeing the Giants becoming a cohesive group of players who steadfastly uphold the club’s values of Inclusion, Teamwork, Respect, Belonging and Growth.
“Our son, Tom has very much enjoyed his first real taste of being part of a football team. He’s proud to wear his jumper, looks forward to training and is excited on match days. He’s learnt new skills, strengthened friendships, and gained a sense of achievement.
The team has been welcomed to various local league matches and made to feel an integral part of the day’s schedule. Camaraderie has built up between all involved: players, coaches, managers, parents, and spectators.
Watching him train, play and immerse himself in all that football involves makes me feel as ‘normal’ as it does him. We both have a place with The Giants and have been welcomed and encouraged all the way.
