AME Systems (Vic) recently participated in the 2012 International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show held at the Melbourne Showgrounds from 15th – 17th March.
AME Systems (Vic) used the show to display its new branding material for the first time amongst other exhibitor stands. Manager Sales & Engineering Nick Carthew and Customer Relations Manager Geoff Hateley promoted AME Systems (Vic)’s range of products and services to potential new customers, but also had a good opportunity to check out what’s currently happening in the manufacturing industry as a whole.
Recognised by the industry as the largest and most significant dedicated display of trucks, trailers and ancillary equipment in the southern hemisphere, the International Truck, Trailer and Equipment Show attracted record crowds of 37,133 local and overseas visitors, including industry leaders. The show also attracted the highest number of international guests in its short history with delegates from more than 45 countries visiting the event.
More than 350 companies displayed the latest in transport technology and innovation and put on a display of the highest-calibre trucks, trailers and equipment ever seen in Australia. The show included exhibitors from all around the industry network: government, manufacturers, parts and services suppliers related to the transport industry, industry associations, non-profit organisations, academic institutions and other end users.
Commenting on the event, Manager Sales & Engineering Nick Carthew said: “Participating in this event has been very beneficial by having a presence there with many other major companies. It was also a chance to demonstrate all the components of our harness making including the Adblue tube harnessing which AME Systems (Vic) is one of few manufacturers in Australia.” Mr Carthew also commented that: “New emissions regulations will see the Urea Exhaust Emission Control process become common on all diesel engines in the future to meet the requirements of the EURO emission laws resulting in further opportunities for AME Systems (Vic) to service new and existing customers within the industry.”
Customer Relations Manager Geoff Hateley said: “Importantly AME Systems (Vic) had interest shown by companies wanting to know more about its product lines and systems. As a result we have three to five definite leads with potential further leads which will add to our growing customer base.”
Ararat Rural City Council supported AME Systems (Vic) presence at the show through Council’s Economic & Cultural Development Unit. Unit Manager, Mr Clyde Humphries said that supporting AME Systems (Vic) through the supply of Council banners and flags as well as new resident information kits was a great opportunity to get city based people looking at Ararat as an alternative place to live and work. Nearly 30 of the kits were distributed to interested people, who may consider working at AME Systems (Vic) or other businesses in Ararat.
