Working 20 years in the one business these days is a significant achievement.
Two long time staff, Greg Miller and Erelyn Ross were recently recognised at an AME Systems function with Service Awards and the presentation of gold watches for their 20 year service to the business.
Both Greg and Erelyn commenced with AME Systems in 1996. They are both highly skilled and valuable members of the manufacturing team.
Greg has worked in the Cutting Department for the entire 20 years, is well respected and a very knowledgeable automated machine operator and Op tech.
In 2007, Greg had the opportunity to travel to Switzerland where he underwent specialised training on the newly purchased Zeta machines and he has since utilised these skills to train other staff who have joined the business. He also has a wealth of knowledge with Inkjet Braider branders and the Alpha machines.
Greg boasts that he has never been late for work once over the past 20 years and feels it is a record to be justly proud of, which makes him such a valued member of staff. Greg also, always puts his hand up and willingly lends a hand for the regular Best Practice luncheons.
Erelyn on the other hand has significant skills in harness making having worked across most areas of manufacturing. Always with a big smile, today Erelyn spends a large amount of her time in the Pre Assembly area and has a solid knowledge of the processing involved.
Outside word, Erelyn also runs her own remedial massage business so coupling this with her day to day job at AME Systems shows a focus of being successful.
AME Systems proudly introduced the ‘length of service’ awards for five, ten, fifteen and twenty years in 2011. The awards have given the company the opportunity to recognise the value of staff, whom over many years have played an integral role in the longevity of the business.
To survive and prosper in such a competitive global industry such as manufacturing and to remain at the forefront of the industry dedicated staff like Greg and Erelyn and others previously awarded are a major factor in the cornerstone of where AME Systems sits today.
